Standing Tall

Lately Lily has come to really love standing up, with help of course. She stands for quite a while and then when she gets tired, her chubby legs slowly collapse. It is a fun game we have been playing with her. She is able to balance herself better too. A few weeks ago when we did this, she looked like a shaky hoola-huper, as she tried to gain her own balance!

She got so excited with herself that she looked up at daddy.

A Satruday in Medford

Last April my grandparents (my dad's parents) moved from Gresham to Medford to be closer to my dad and his brother. We took advantage of the 3 day weekend we had and went for a day trip visit. This was the first time Mama and Papa had seen Lily and they were taken with her sweet temperament, her chattiness, and curious personality. It was really special watching them interact with Lily too.
After we had lunch, Nana enjoyed playing with Lily too.

This next picture had nothing to do with our visit, but I just love it. Marla took it last week with her cell phone and sent it to mine, and it is now my screen saver. She captured Lily as her natural perfect self and every time I see this picture, I can't help but smile!

Faces

This is the face that I love to wake up to in the early morning....
This is the face of the one I love to kiss......

....and, this is the face of the one I love to come home to.

So Blessed

There are days when I am tired, have lots to accomplish, and am generally very busy. It is on those days that I pause and my heart becomes overwhelmed with how blessed I truly am. Being with Lily is the highlight of my day. Whether that be when she comes to school to nurse, or when I get home. She is our precious treasure. She loves bath times. She didn't used to until we figured out that she likes in much better with a constantly warm wash cloth on her tummy.

When she was in the womb she constantly had her legs crossed, which we were able to see during the ultra sounds. Even when nursing she still loves to have those chubby legs crossed...and how "lady like" I might add!

We often tease that after nursing she is "milk drunk." Even burping her doesn't bring her out of her drunken state.

Lily is also very happy, which makes for the most heartwarming pictures. Here she was playing with Daddy in the kitchen one evening after dinner.
